Fujairah’s Music Street enters Guinness World Records
Landmark project transforms a public space into an artistic experience
DUBAI – Fujairah’s pioneering Music Street has been officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s longest musical street, adding a new global distinction to the emirate’s growing cultural landscape.
The recognition was celebrated during a meeting at the Emiri Court between His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and the team from the Fujairah Fine Arts Academy responsible for delivering the project.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi received the Guinness World Records certificate awarded to Music Street and praised the academy’s contribution to the emirate’s cultural development.
He highlighted the importance of arts and music in enhancing quality of life and strengthening community well-being. He noted that incorporating artistic and musical elements into daily environments can transform public spaces into distinctive cultural destinations while creating engaging experiences for residents and visitors.
He also reaffirmed the Fujairah Government’s commitment to supporting creative initiatives that enrich communities and promote broader quality-of-life goals. According to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, these efforts reflect the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, whose continued support has helped position the emirate as a centre for creativity and culture.
Academy recognition
The meeting was attended by Ali Obaid Al Hefaiti, Director-General of the Fujairah Fine Arts Academy, along with members of the academy’s team who played a key role in the project’s development.
Academy representatives expressed their appreciation for the Crown Prince’s continued support and close follow-up of the institution’s achievements. They said his encouragement has enabled the academy to pursue excellence and develop artistic initiatives that connect with the wider community.
The Guinness World Records recognition of Music Street adds another notable achievement to Fujairah’s cultural sector, reflecting the emirate’s increasing investment in public art, creativity and cultural development while bringing artistic experiences closer to everyday life.
